Meet The Storm
The Storm originally began as a Game of Thrones Podcast, called “A Storm of Spoilers.” Over the course of the series, it hit the “Top 10” lists of Vulture, Thrillist and Buzzfeed, and was featured in The Wall Street Journal, SyFy, The Guardian, and MetroUK. Upon the finale of Game of Thrones in 2019, Joanna Robinson (Vanity Fair), Dave Gonzales (Fighting in the War Room) and Neil Miller (Film School Rejects) combined forces once again for a massive rewatch of ABC's hit show LOST.
Our watch ended in 2021. Did we mean to cover a show about a bunch of people stranded in isolation while we ourselves were in COVID isolation? No. Did it happen anyway? Yes. Can we blame the ghost of John Locke? Maybe. You can still listen to the feed on your favorite podcast app, and get our non-spoiler (Calm) and spoiler-heavy (Storm) takes on one of the most significant shows of the modern era.
Today, you can find Joanna, Da7e and Neil over at The Ringer, tussling every week in a Great Debate about the top movie themes, icons, and scenes of our time. Subscribe to Trial By Content on Spotify.
The Storm Pod evolved to help you cheer, jeer and dry your tears over the most influential TV and movie zeitgeists of our time. It became more than a feed, but a real community. In that spirit, Da7e and Neil’s Pop Culture Adventure was born.
By observing the best, worst, and everything in between, each week Da7e and Neil’s Pop Culture Adventure dissects classic scenes from television and film, unwrapping how each is a portal to a greater understanding of pop culture. In addition to our weekly episodes, we host live-watches in our patron-exclusive Slack community, video game livestreams on Youtube, and more. Grab the feed and join our community on Patreon! We are currently undertaking a rewatch of David' Lynch’s TWIN PEAKS.
Look at this incredible run of guests we've had on our LOST rewatch podcast. This is a testament to the amazing hard work of @jowrotethis -- she's having so many wonderful conversations. It feels like we're painting a lovely, definitive portrait of LOST.https://t.co/Igudl7CUWI pic.twitter.com/RTxgf1bZtn
